iConference 2013 Call for Participation

Make plans to participate in iConference 2013, which will be held February 12-15, 2013, in Fort Worth, Texas. This year's conference theme is Scholarship in Action: Data, Innovation, Wisdom, and the event will offer a multitude of high-quality papers, posters, and workshops along with interactive alternative events

Submission dates for papers, notes, posters, workshops, and other activities are available on the iSchools Call for Participation website. A new participation opportunity this year is the FUSE Labs Social Media Expo, sponsored by Microsoft Research, which selects a student team from each participating iSchool to present at the iConference, with expenses paid jointly by Microsoft Research and the respective schools.

Presented each year by the iSchools, the iConference is an annual gathering of scholars and researchers concerned with critical information issues in contemporary society. iConference participants advance the boundaries of information studies, explore core concepts and ideas, and create new technological and conceptual configurations—all situated in interdisciplinary discourses.

iConference 2013 is hosted by the College of Information at the University of North Texas. The presenting sponsor is Microsoft Research, which is also providing support for the conference’s inaugural Social Media Expo.
