GSLIS Fall Reunion scheduled for October

Please join us in October for the second annual GSLIS Fall Reunion, a month-long series of on-campus and online events providing opportunities to connect with current faculty, staff, and students. The reunion offers an in-depth view of the GSLIS community as well as the opportunity to experience it—through classes, conversations, and activities that offer a variety of ideas and perspectives.

Attend a class

GSLIS faculty have opened up several LEEP and on-campus classes to alumni during the month of October. You are invited to attend classes in a variety of topics, such as genealogical research, information organization and access, youth services librarianship, database design, history of libraries, and international librarianship.

To register for a class, please submit the GSLIS 2012 Fall Reunion Class Participation Request Form. If you plan to attend a LEEP (online) session and have never used Moodle or Blackboard Collaborate, please submit your request form at least three days in advance so that we have time to assist you with the technology. If you are a recent graduate and familiar with the technology, please submit your form at least one day in advance so that we can provide you with the link to join the course.

Attend a lecture

This month will provide several opportunities for alumni to learn about current research in LIS. You can attend lectures in person, virtually, or access the recorded versions so that you can listen to or view them anytime you would like.

The event will take place on Friday, October 19, from 5:30-7:00pm in GSLIS Room 126. For those unable to attend in person, this event will be archived on our website.
