GSLIS to serve as key partner in "Humanities without Walls"

GSLIS will serve as a key intellectual and infrastructural partner for a new grant awarded to the Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities (IPRH) by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The $3 million grant will fund the first two years of an extensive consortium of fifteen humanities institutes in the Midwest and beyond. By leveraging the strengths of multiple distinctive campuses, the initiative, titled "Humanities without Walls," aims to create new avenues for collaborative research, teaching, and the production of scholarship in the humanities, forging and sustaining areas of inquiry that cannot be created or maintained without cross-institutional cooperation.

LEEP Scholarship Assistance Needed

For the past five years, we have been working with our LEEP cohorts to raise enough money to make the LEEP Scholarship a $25,000 endowment fund. We are pleased to report that we are almost there, and just another $1,200 will get us to that goal! The LEEP program is in its 18th year, and our online enrollment continues to grow. Donations to this scholarship can be made by visiting our Opportunities for Giving web page and clicking on the LEEP Scholarship Endowment (under Scholarships). Thank you in advance for helping GSLIS to meet our goal.
