Conversations with Tracie Hall: Building a Better Community in GSLIS

Join us on May 5 for a series of in-depth discussions facilitated by Tracie Hall, founder and principle of Goodseed Consulting Group in Chicago, Illinois. The goal for each session is to identify opportunities for and challenges to inclusion, voice, agency, and community within the GSLIS context. The schedule of discussions is provided below; different groups will meet at various times throughout the day.

Members of the GSLIS community, including alumni, are encouraged to attend the closing town hall session on May 5 from 4:00-5:30pm. This session will be available to LEEP students and faculty via Elluminate.

For LEEP students or faculty who are interested in participating in the May 5 discussions earlier in the day, there will be Elluminate sessions for the student and faculty sessions. Please attend as is categorically appropriate (i.e., faculty, student, student of color).

For alumni and LEEPers who can't participate in the Elluminate sessions, two separate conference calls will be offered on May 9: a call-in number will be announced next week. For individuals who belong to both categories, you may of course choose to attend either or both. Those interested in participating in these conference calls should email Christine Hopper at -cmhopper, at illinois.edu-.

These conversations will address issues raised in the GSLIS town hall meeting held on April 20. A recording of this meeting is available to students, faculty, staff, and alumni at the following URL (login required):
