Research Showcase 2013

Join us the afternoon of Friday, March 29, for the Research Showcase, as GSLIS faculty and doctoral students share the breadth of their research in a series of short presentations and posters highlighting their scholarly work. Peter Schiffer, U of I Vice Chancellor for Research, will give opening remarks at this annual event presented by the nation’s top-ranked library and information science school.

Presentation topics will include big data, intellectual freedom, preserving virtual worlds, data curation, digital scholarship, rethinking comics readers, building digital communities, representations of race in children’s literature, and leadership in academic libraries.

The Research Showcase is an annual event open to campus and the general public.
