Job Search Quick Chat: Public Libraries

Knowing what to expect in the job search can significantly improve preparation, boost confidence, and increase overall success. In this Job Search QuickChat, alumnus William LaChance (MS '15), adult services librarian at Alpha Park Public Library in Bartonville, Illinois, will discuss his successful job search and provide the opportunity for attendees to ask questions. QuickChats are designed to be a fast and informal way to learn about career development topics and ask candid questions – most QuickChats last from 20 to 40 minutes.

This event is part of the School's Job Search Month, in which iSchool Career Services will host special events throughout the month of February. In addition to the career services offered throughout the year (one-on-one consultations, job search assistance, and interview prep), Job Search Month activities will feature on-campus and virtual events to help students prepare for the job search process.
