Women's Coding Workshop (Software Carpentry)

Software Carpentry is hosting a workshop for women to learn to code. This hands-on workshop will start at the basics and teach you how to:

  • organize your research computationally
  • automate repetitive tasks
  • make your research reproducible
  • help other researchers access your work
  • use your work collaboratively

We will be working with R and the Unix shell as well as database and version control tools. Elizabeth Wickes, an iSchool lecturer, will be delivering the workshop.

The workshop will run on Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Meals will provided. All people who identify as women or as non-binary are welcome. No programming experience assumed.
