Writing Workshop Series Module 2

Join us for the second of three modules in the Writing Workshop series!

Graduate school tests what you thought you knew about writing. If you've been in the workforce for a while or don't come from a writing-heavy background, it can be intimidating to receive an assignment for a research paper or be asked to do a lot of writing over the course of a semester. Where do you begin? Where can you get help? What on earth do they mean by "academic integrity?"

Module 2 will cover getting started with an actual writing assignment. We will go over an assignment prompt and identify the parts you need to address in your assignment. We will also talk about prewriting strategies, including constructing a thesis, outlining your work, and finding the evidence you need to support your thesis.

Students from all degree programs are welcome to attend! If you have questions about Module 1 or the Writing Workshops Series in general, please contact Jessica Williams.
