IS 590DY Digital Citizenship and Youth

In order to be a leader in digital citizenship education, educators, technology leaders, and information specialists will need to understand the historical context and present state of digital citizenship education through the lenses of legal obligation, various local and national sets of standards, traditional frameworks of citizenship education, and research on youth and technology. Upon completion of this course, participants will be more prepared to lead digital citizenship conversations, curricular initiatives, and make informed decisions regarding the education of students in a digital age.
