Managing Your University of Illinois Accounts and Passwords
Your username is your NetID. If you don't know your NetID, you can look it up in the online directory.
You should use a strong password that is unique to your University of Illinois account (you shouldn't reuse a password you've used for other services such as a bank or social media account).
University of Illinois
The University of Illinois account is used to access University services such as class registration, financial aid, student records, campus wireless, email, and the iSchool Moodle.
My Library Account
The My Library Account is your account with the University of Illinois library system. The My Library Account is used to renew materials, view pending Catalog requests and fines/fees owed, and more.
You establish the account using the 14-digit Library ID number on your I-card. This number begins with 200111. You create a login and password for this account at the My Library Account page. The 14-digit Library ID number is only needed once to set up the account. If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it here.
Upon graduation, students can continue their access to some library services by requesting a Courtesy Borrowing Card.
University ID Number (UIN)
Your University ID Number (UIN) provides a unique identifying number for your student records. Your UIN is a string of numbers that the University assigns to students, faculty, and staff for identification purposes. Your UIN is unique and will never change. Learn more at the UIN page.
Visit the Retrieving Your UIN page to claim your UIN. There is no password or expiration date associated with your UIN. If you've forgotten your UIN, you can either find it on your i-Card or check the Retrieving your UIN page.
