Announcing the 2018 iSchool Library Networking & Career Fair in Chicago

Students and alumni who are interested in meeting employers and contacts from library and related organizations in the Chicago area are invited to join us at this launch meeting to learn about the 2018 iSchool Library Networking and Career Fair.

Wait, what is this? We'll be sharing information about a career fair

Who should attend the fair? Any student or alumni interested in meeting representatives from academic libraries, public libraries, non-profits, and library-focused industries in the Chicago area and beyond. First semester students are encouraged to attend.

When will the fair be held? March 9, 2018 from 2:30-5pm at the Loyola University Klarcheck Information Commons.

Will this help me get a job? Possibly. It will also provide an overview of the employment landscape and give you a chance to make connections with organizations like CPL, Newberry, Art Institute, Skokie Public Library, UIC Libraries, Loyola Libraries and more.

How do I get involved? Attend this meeting for details, and join us in the spring for a series of events designed to prepare you for success at the fair.

I can't make the meeting! No problem, this hybrid event will be broadcast in Blackboard and the presentation will be recorded.

I have more questions! Please email them to mplante@illinois.edu (Michele Plante) and we'll be sure to answer them at the presentation.
