Alumni selected for ARL Leadership Fellows program

GSLIS alumni Paul Bracke (MS '97) and Beth McNeil (MS '89) have been selected to participate in the 2013-2015 Association of Research Libraries (ARL) Leadership Fellows Program.

Bracke, associate dean for assessment and technology at Purdue University Libraries, and McNeil, associate dean for academic affairs at Purdue University Libraries, will join twenty-four other professionals in the fifth offering of this executive leadership program.

According to an announcement from ARL, this program “meets the increasing demands for succession planning for research libraries with a new approach to preparing the next generation of deans and directors.” Bracke and McNeil will begin their training with an orientation at the October ARL membership meeting, followed by participation in a Strategic Issues Institute at Vanderbilt University in November.

The 2013-2015 fellows were selected by ARL directors from six sponsoring institutions: University of Guelph Library, North Carolina State University Libraries, Purdue University Libraries, University of Toronto Libraries, Vanderbilt University Library, and University of Waterloo Library.
