Summer Getaway 2017: Professional Development for School Librarians

Summer Getaway 2017: Professional Development for School Librarians will be hosted by the iSchool at Illinois on June 12, 13 and 14, 2017. This unique PD event held on the Urbana-Champaign campus will repeat the well-received format of a daily focus on a single, high-demand topic. Led by school library professionals, each in-depth session will offer a relaxed learning environment where authentic dialogue is encouraged. New this year, each day will conclude with a thought-provoking presentation by an iSchool speaker.

Cost is $75 per day; participants may register for 1, 2 or 3 days. Librarians may invite an administrator to accompany them on Monday, June 12, for an additional $25!

Registration is now open for this event. To register, visit the Summer Getaway 2017 website. Here, you will find a complete description of this PD opportunity, including expanded session descriptions, presenter bios, a schedule of events, and housing info to make your getaway complete.
