Strategies for navigating networking

Networking is more than swapping business cards and getting free snacks. Networking is about meeting and connecting with people and gaining valuable contacts to use in a job search and through a professional career. Career Services staff will highlight strategies for getting the most out of networking events. Topics will include how to make the most of a networking opportunity, developing your "pitch" or "elevator speech," and how to follow up and keep building your network after an event.
