CCB Speaker Series: Angel Daniel Matos
Angel Daniel Matos, assistant professor of gender, sexuality, and women’s studies at Bowdoin College, will present “Queer YA Novels that Sadden and Hurt: Adam Silvera’s Oeuvre and the Politics of Unhappiness” as part of The Center for Children's Books (CCB) 2020-2021 Speaker Series.
Bio: Angel Daniel Matos is an assistant professor of gender, sexuality, and women’s studies at Bowdoin College. He is co-editor of Media Crossroads: Intersections of Space and Identity in Screen Cultures (forthcoming, Duke University Press) and author of a monograph in progress tentatively titled The Reparative Possibilities of Queer Young Adult Literature and Culture.
