Narcan Training at the iSchool

As you may know, opioid use and overdoses are on the rise. Some libraries (see attached article) have taken the steps to provide Narcan training for their employees. We have partnered with the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District to bring this training to you:

• Learn several ways to recognize and respond to an overdose including how to administer Narcan, the opioid overdose reversal drug.
• The training is free. Space is limited; all trainees will receive a certificate of attendance. 
• There will be Narcan kits available to all attendees (on-campus).
