female student under umbrella holding thank you sign

With your help, our graduates become leaders in the field who offer their talents to make a difference in the world. Your financial support assists with tuition, books, career development, professional travel, and awards—all of which makes a real difference in the student experience and in the ongoing excellence of our School.

The Annual Fund is used to support activities and programs benefiting students and faculty, especially initiatives that are new and innovative. Gifts to this unrestricted fund come from alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends who wish to send a message—as well as money—in support of the education available at the School. If your company offers a matching gift program, your support can have even a bigger impact, often doubling or tripling your initial donation!

Xochitl Quiroz

Librarianship is a field filled with people who are incredibly passionate about the work they do, but the cost of attendance can be a big barrier for people wanting to move up in the field. With my scholarship and graduate assistantship, I was able to enjoy my graduate experience without any additional barriers.

Dean's Council

With a history of excellence spanning 125 years, the iSchool provides its students with the best education possible and conducts research at the forefront of the field. The advocacy and financial support of alumni and friends contribute to this excellence. Established to acknowledge and communicate with top-level donors, the Dean’s Council is comprised of donors who give $1,000 or more annually or who have made a bequest of any amount to the School.

Katharine L. Sharp Legacy Society

The Katharine L. Sharp Legacy Society, named for the School's founder, recognizes alumni and friends who have included a gift for the School in their estate plans. The generosity of these individuals has made possible the continued excellence of our School. Members of the Legacy Society are also included in the Dean's Council. An estate gift can take many forms, such as a bequest made in a will or living trust, and can offer substantial financial and tax savings benefits, often complementing overall estate plans.
