Zine Workshop & Community Fundraiser

Join us to discuss how zines can be used as a powerful community tool. In this workshop, you will learn how to create and self-publish your own zine. All materials will be provided (shout out to Dr. LaBarre and the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center) and you'll have help from excited library and information students. Come to make your own zine, share your story, or just hang out with cool people!
This event is free and open to the public. However, we suggest a donation of $5, all of which will go to The Immigration Project. Or, you can bring supplies for Urbana-Champaign Books to Prisoners.

The following materials are approved and much needed:

  • Mini composition notebooks (no spiral notebooks)
  • Mini golf pencils (no metal eraser attached)
  • Bookmarks
  • Lined paper
  • Cards (of any kind!)
  • Crossword puzzle and Sudoku books
  • Adult coloring books
  • Pencil cap erasers
  • Paperback books
