Illinois Cyber Security Scholars Program (ICSSP) Virtual Information Session

The Illinois Cyber Security Scholars Program (ICSSP) is now accepting applications for Fall 2021. Associate Professor Masooda Bashir will host a virtual information session, which will include a general overview of the program, application requirements, program benefits and obligations, as well as a Q&A period to address attendees' questions. The Illinois Cyber Security Scholars Program (ICSSP) is a CyberCorps Scholarship for Service program funded by National Science Foundation. The program provides funding for full tuition and a generous stipend for students that wants to specialize in cybersecurity/privacy. Eligible applicant must be a U.S. citizen, and an admitted full-time on-campus undergraduate or graduate student in the Grainger College of Engineering or an admitted full-time on-campus graduate student in the iSchool's MS/IM program.

The goal of this program is to increase the number of cyber security professionals in the U.S. government and we are especially interested in recruiting veterans, women, transfer students, first-generation college students, and students from underrepresented groups to apply. The application deadline for the ICSSP is April 11, 2021.
