Colloquium: Michael Twidale

Professor Michael Twidale

Professor and PhD Program Director Michael Twidale will present "The Usability of Scholarship."

Abstract: In HCI we study the usability of many things: phone apps, websites, nuclear power stations, supermarket checkouts etc. But as the saying goes "the cobbler's children go unshod." We fail to consider the usability of all the systems that allegedly help us do research. Billions are wasted as a result. Please share your favorite irritations.

The iSchool Colloquium (IS 400) is a venue for presentation and discussion of research and professional activities by faculty, students, staff, and guest speakers. The colloquium is hosted in person and virtually. All are welcome to attend.
