Research focus
My research focuses on information behavior and space and place. Mainly, I am interested in looking at people who engage in making for fun, such as knitting, papercraft, and woodwork. In my current project, I apply qualitative research methods to examine the creating process of arts and crafts hobbyists, including how they configure their environments to work on making projects. I am also interested in exploring how library programming can support creative practice in everyday life.
