Please join us in October for the third annual GSLIS Fall Reunion, a month-long series of on-campus and online events providing opportunities to connect with current faculty, staff, students, and other alumni. The reunion offers an in-depth view of the GSLIS community as well as the opportunity to experience it—through workshops, conversations, and activities that offer a variety of ideas and perspectives. Alumni are invited to hear about current research, interact with students, and engage socially with the GSLIS community.
Share your story
As part of this year’s reunion, we are asking alumni to share their experiences as an LIS professional through a short video that completes the sentence "Today I..." What is a typical day like for you? How have you made a difference in your position? What is the most rewarding aspect of your job? What surprised/surprises you about your career?
Create a brief video (maximum length of one minute) addressing any or all of the above questions. Remember to include the year you graduated from GSLIS and your current position. Please submit your video to Christy Glaze (cglaze@illinois.edu) as a YouTube link, and we will share it on the GSLIS Facebook page and GSLIS YouTube channel during the reunion. Need assistance creating your video? Just let us know!
