Gallagher2.png?itok=2AI9TZkp GSLIS alumnus Connell Gallagher (MS '78) was honored earlier this month with a Lifetime Achievement Award given by the University of Vermont (UVM) Center for Research on Vermont. Gallagher worked at UVM from 1970 until he retired in 2006. During his career there he served as manuscripts librarian, university archivist and curator of manuscripts, and director of research collections. Gallagher was presented with the award on May 6 at the Center for Research on Vermont Annual Meeting.

While earning his master’s degree at GSLIS, Gallagher specialized in bibliography and worked at the University Archives. “My experiences at Illinois contributed a lot to what has been a very successful career as a librarian and an archivist. I loved my year at GSLIS,” he said.
