Hagman joins advising team

Jacob Hagman, Academic Advisor and Coordinator of Graduate Affairs for MSIM and MSBIO

Jacob Hagman joined the iSchool as academic advisor and coordinator of graduate affairs on December 12. In this position, he will provide academic advising and support to students in the MS in information management and MS in bioinformatics degree programs.

Hagman previously served as an academic advisor for the College of Media. Prior to working for Media, he advised nursing, journalism, communication, film, and undecided majors at Ohio University. He earned his bachelor's degree in communication and religions and master's degree in social sciences from Ohio University. In his free time, Hagman enjoys exploring locally owned restaurants, playing the ukulele, listening to history and sports podcasts, and learning about life sciences and Minecraft from his son.

"I am looking forward to working with graduate students from a variety of backgrounds and professional/educational experiences and interests," said Hagman.

iSchool researchers to present at Charleston Conference

The sale will primarily feature middle grade and young adult fiction and nonfiction, with paperback books $2 each, hardcover books $5 each, and other items priced as marked.

Smith to support finance operations

Samantha Smith joined the iSchool on October 2 as an office manager with the business and finance team. In this role, she will assist with purchases, financial transactions, and financial administrative maintenance.

Archer joins Student Affairs team

Matt Archer has joined the iSchool as coordinator of academic and student affairs. In his new role, he will support the social and academic development of students in the PhD degree program.
