Weslee Walton, Associate Director of Finance and Business Operations

Weslee Walton joined the iSchool in June as associate director of finance and business operations. In his new role, he will oversee the School's financial operations and guide associate and assistant deans and directors in the development of their budgets by providing specialized analysis and reports.

Prior to joining the iSchool, Walton served as associate director of grants and contracts for the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois. From 2008-2021, he worked in various roles for Grainger College of Engineering, most recently as a senior grants and contracts coordinator. Walton holds an MBA and a BA in history and BA in sociology from UIUC.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his two giant schnoodles Freya and Kolbjörn, working on his cars (including his fully restored 1966 Mustang), playing volleyball, and going sporting clay shooting with friends.

"I look forward to getting to know the iSchool community and utilizing my skills from past experiences as I work with our team to support and enhance the School," said Walton.
