Miller joins administrative support team

Alexis Miller joined the iSchool on June 4 as an office manager. In this position, she will provide support to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and assist with various student affairs activities.

Miller previously served as an office manager, dance teacher, and choreographer for the Urbana Fine Arts Center. She holds a BFA in dance from the University of Illinois and an MA in liberal studies from Rutgers University.

"I look forward to being a part of the iSchool during a time of such growth and being able to support the Student Affairs team with everything from daily tasks to planning convocation," she said. 

In her free time, Miller enjoys reading, painting, crocheting, playing cozy video games, and spending time with her family and cat.

Wang appointed associate dean for research

The iSchool is pleased to announce that Professor Dong Wang has been appointed associate dean for research. In this role, Wang will provide leadership in the support, integration, communication, and administration of the iSchool's research and scholarship endeavors. Blue Ribbons are chosen annually by a committee of reviewers for The Bulletin and represent what they believe to be outstanding examples of youth literature.

Chun joins the academic affairs team

Kyu-Been Chun joined the iSchool this month as a coordinator of student and academic affairs. In his new role, he will support PhD students with their academic affairs, ensuring that they have the resources and guidance they need throughout their doctoral journey.
