Associate Professor Victoria Stodden will speak this Friday at the Association of Data Science and Analytics (ADSA) Data Summit 2016, a tech conference focusing on big data and data science. Assistant Professor Nicole A. Cooke will be the featured speaker at the inaugural event of the newly-formed Midwest Chapter of REFORMA: The National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-Speaking. The event, which is open to the public, will be held on February 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in room 1-470 of the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Richard J. Daley Library.  

Professor Alistair Black is the lead organizer for the annual conference of the Library and Information History Group of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP). The mission of CILIP is to support library and knowledge practitioners in promoting its vision of "a fair and economically prosperous society [that] is underpinned by literacy, access to information, and the transfer of knowledge."

GSLIS Associate Professor Victoria Stodden will speak at SC15 (formerly Supercomputing), the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis. The conference is an annual meeting of researchers, industry representatives, journalists, and others with an interest in high performance computing. It will be held on November 15-20 in Austin, Texas.
