2015 Downs Award given to HP Kids Read

The group HP Kids Read is the 2015 recipient of the Robert B. Downs Intellectual Freedom Award, given annually by the faculty of the Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and cosponsored by Libraries Unlimited.

Veterans Affairs collaboration renewed with Blake and Twidale

After a successful first year, GSLIS faculty members Catherine Blake and Michael Twidale will again serve as advisors to the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Information Resource Center (VIReC), a VA Health Service Research & Development Service (HSR&D) resource center that supports VA researchers in need of information about data resources specific to their research.

Stodden to deliver invited talk at SC15

GSLIS Associate Professor Victoria Stodden will speak at SC15 (formerly Supercomputing), the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis. The conference is an annual meeting of researchers, industry representatives, journalists, and others with an interest in high performance computing.
