Sue Searing, GSLIS affiliated faculty member and LIS librarian, recently published an article in
American Libraries about the library of works by women created for the 1893
World’s Columbian Exposition held in Chicago. The collection of over 8,000
volumes was housed in the Women’s Building and included books written by women
from 24 countries.
GSLIS is hosting nine prospective students as part of the
campus-wide Community of Scholars Campus Visit Program (COS). The program
brings admitted graduate students from underrepresented backgrounds to campus
to meet with their academic department and give them the opportunity to network
